Hemauer Brewing Co. wants its patrons to enjoy their time at the taproom, but there are times when the staff/manager/owner must refuse alcohol service. HBC has the right to:

  • Ask for a valid ID* from anyone. Failure to produce a valid ID will result in no alcoholic service for the individual.
  • Deny service to anyone who appears to be under the influence of drugs and/or publicly intoxicated.
  • Deny service to anyone who cannot produce a valid ID*.
  • Deny alcoholic service to anyone under 21 years of age.
  • Deny/stop alcoholic service to patrons who are of drinking age and are sharing/buying alcohol for those who are under drinking age.
  • Stop alcoholic service to anyone who appears to have had too much alcohol, regardless of the amount served.
  • Call an Uber/Lyft/taxi for any patron who appears too intoxicated to drive a motor vehicle, at the cost to the patron.
  • Call the police for unruly patrons or patrons who appear too intoxicated to drive a motor vehicle and refuse to use a rideshare app, such as Uber/Lyft/taxi.
  • Ask unruly/disrespectful patrons to leave the premises. Failure of patrons to do so could result in police being called.

HBC’s kitchen closes one hour before the taproom unless otherwise stated.

Last call for alcohol is 30 minutes before closing unless otherwise stated.

*Per the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, the only acceptable forms of ID in Pennsylvania are a valid photo driver’s license or state ID card, a valid photo armed forces ID, and a valid photo passport or travel visa. A copy or document printed from a printer (even with a state seal or notarized) does NOT count as a valid ID, and service will be denied.
